What do you mean when you ask for million-dollar advice? Is it about solid information that can help optimize your efforts? Are you looking for some hidden trick or truth unknown to most people? Or perhaps you are just looking for a quick way to wealth?

No one ever gave me this piece of advice, but it is definitely the one I will tell everyone from this day on, until my very end: Learn math, train math.

Math makes you see the world profoundly differently. It helps you understand and build models that ultimately design financial structures; it helps you predict and create the future. Much more than this, math helps you come up with the right questions, it sharpens your sight to see more variables or see them from more angles. It develops a problem-solving mindset and, ultimately, it helps you fear less when problems rise.

I read this recently: A problem is “a practical matter in which unknown quantities must be determined through their relationships to known data.” Isn’t this a great approach to life’s problems?

How about you? What would your million-dollar advice be?
